3 AM is a series of fourteen large format Polaroids shot over a two week period in February of 2009. The concept was designed to explore two things. One was to force myself to reflect upon the idea of repetition in my own life and that in others. The second was to see how I would react to and deal with the experience of living with less than desirable restrictions and limitations set for myself. I woke up at 3 AM daily, photographed myself, then returned to bed. Amidst revelations and thoughts I had during the process, I was surprised how quickly the process designed to spur reflection became routine itself.
